The OFR program tackles plastic pollution at one of its primary sources: one restaurant, one customer at a time. It increases awareness, drives behavior change, and ultimately creates scalable impact to reduce our plastic footprint.
The OFG program sees landscapes and streets as solutions to water pollution and more.
The BWTF is the Surfrider Foundations volunteer-run, water testing, education and advocacy program. Our chapters use this program to get students out into the water to perform scientific testing to encourage them to pursue a future in helping the public about water quality problems and to work toward solutions.
Surfrider’s Ocean Friendly Hotels Program helps hotels reduce single-use plastic and make more sustainable choices for the ocean. The result is a community of like-minded hotels that we can promote, support, and lift up as examples of success to influence behavior change and pass plastic reduction legislation.
This program focuses on raising awareness of marine pollution issues in our community by actively bringing all Surfrider Foundation programs to grades 6-12 and college students in our Surfrider Student Clubs. We engage students through presentations, assemblies, hands-on classroom activities and community service opportunities.
RAP is designed to eliminate the impacts of plastics in the marine environment by raising awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution and by advocating for a reduction of single-use plastics through local, state, and federal legislation.
